Getting started...
- Switch browsers! FireFox is steadily growing in popularity on the web today.
- Download from Google (recommended):
- Download from Mozilla.org.
- Download from OldVersion.com. (we prefer version 1.5.0.12)
- Download plugins for it
- AdBlock Plus (install first, then restart FireFox)
- AdBlock Filterset G (install second, then restart FireFox)
- GreaseMonkey (optional install - mainly for advanced users)
- Configure your new plugins
- AdBlock plus will be fine as-is.
- AdBlock Filterset G - mimic the following settings, and force an update:
- GreaseMonkey - visit UserScripts.org for more plugins. Do a search for your most frequently visited blogs, to find scripts designed by users like you to make it much easier to view them. Once you have searched, sort the results by "installs" to find the most popular plugins. See the screenshot below for some popular scripts.
